Don’t forget about the SOLE open house tonight. Â The house is just north of the church building on 17th Street. Â Thanks to everyone who put in so much hard work to make this happen.

Saturday the 11th and Saturday the 25th will be workdays at the house. Â Help us finish up painting, cleaning and decorating the house. Â Show up anytime between 9am-4pm to help out. Â All of this hard work will help get ready for the open house on Sunday November 2nd and also create a more functional, relaxing, and enjoyable, place for our group.

Hey Everyone,
We are planning to meet at the house Saturday around noon to start the decorating process. Bring any painting and cleaning supplies you have. We will work until we want to call it quits. Hope to see you all there!

Due to various events we will not be meeting at the house for Sunday Night Small group. We should pick back up around September 7th.

Don’t forget tomorrow (Wednesday) we are meeting with the rest of the church for a picnic at Reagan Elementary School (map) in Rogers. Â Bring your own dinner to eat and come enjoy the fellowship.
If you have been paying attention to the calendar you may have noticed that we have a weekend trip tentatively scheduled for the weekend of August 8th-9th.  Based on the response Sunday night, the date and maybe the activity will likely change.  If you have ideas feel free to share.

We have a bowling trip scheduled for this Friday (July 25th).  I called Fast Lane today to get information about Glow-Bowl.  Apparently, Glow-Bowl is only on Saturday nights and costs $5.50/game + $30/hr.  This leaves a couple of options.
1) Meet up on Friday anyway for regular bowling and/or lazer tag and an arcade visit (Go Karts aren’t ready, yet). Â I’m assuming regular bowling would be a little cheaper.
2) Move the date to this Saturday and do Glow-Bowl. Â Since there is an hourly charge on top of a per game charge, it would be beneficial if everyone could meet at about the same time.
3) Forget about it and do something/nothing else.

We are planning a float trip for this Saturday, July 19th. Plan on meeting at the church building around 10:15. We will try to depart by 10:30 and head towards the river. We will be going to Tahlequah (about 1 hr. away) to float. Cost should be around $15. Everyone is responsible for taking care of his/her own lunch/snacks. After a relaxing float, we will head back to Rogers. Our return time depends on several factors, but 5 or 6 pm is a general estimate. We are all adults now, so there will be no dress code police, just use good judgment in your attire.Â

UPDATE: Smokin Joe’s in Bentonville is closed on Sundays. Â We will be meeting at the one in Rogers.
Hi Everyone
This Sunday, June 29th, is a 5th Sunday and we had planned to go out to eat together. We will be meeting at Smokin’ Joes for BBQ at 6:00. The meal will be paid for with the singles budget so come hungry!! We will be going to the newer one in Bentonville the one in Rogers because they have room for more seating.

After chowing down on BBQ…if your still wanting some grub, there is talk of hitting up Cold Stone. Or, if people are up to it, we can head to my house and watch a movie…bring a DVD if you have something in mind.

Directions to Smoking Joe’s:
If you go north on Moberly from HWY 102, turn right on central and Joe’s is on the right. You can also get there from 540 by taking exit 88. Turn left onto Central, drive for 1.5 miles and Joe’s will be on your left.

Just a reminder that VBSÂ begins this Sunday, June 22nd. The singles’ group has their own classroom this year over the Parable of the Talents. We need ALL of the help that we can get. If you can’t attend VBS or you’re committed to other areas during VBS, we can still use help with decorating the classroom.
